Motorcyclist Injured In Collision With Wagon In Wellington North

A Grey County man is facing Highway Traffic Act charges after a farm tractor collided with a motorcycle in Wellington North.

Police say on Monday afternoon, tractor connected to a wooden hay wagon was travelling south on Concession 6 North. and was slowing down to turn. A Harley Davidson motorcycle approached the tractor from behind and pulled out to pass, when the tractor turned left into a private driveway.   The motorcycle struck the hay wagon on the left side and the driver was ejected.

The motorcycle operator was treated in a local hospital and later airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital for further treatment.

A 23-year-old West Grey man has been charged with operating an unsafe combination of vehicles and careless driving.
