Driver Charged In Bruce Peninsula Crash

Bruce Peninsula OPP have charged a driver following a collision on July 2 in Saugeen First Nation.

The collision occurred on Bruce Rd. 13 between a 2013 Hyundai and a 2015 Jeep just after 5:25pm. An investigation revealed the Hyundai was travelling southbound when it crossed into the northbound lane, hitting the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep, a 62-year-old Burlington woman, was taken to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. A female passenger in the Hyundai was also taken to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.

The driver, identified as 35-year-old Vijayarangan Subbian of Mississauga, has been charged with failing to share half the roadway under the Highway Traffic Act.
