Vehicle Hits Hydro Pole on Saugeen First Nation

A driver has been injured in a crash involving a hydro pole.

South Bruce OPP say a vehicle crashed into a hydro pole at about 4:30pm Saturday along Bruce County Rd 13 near French Bay Rd on Saugeen First Nation. The collision broke the pole.

The driver of the Honda involved was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision left hydro lines dangling across the road. Hydro One crews are on scene repairing the damage and replacing the pole, but the work is expected to take several hours to complete.

Bruce County Rd 13 is closed between 2nd Ave and Charles St. The OPP is asking drivers to respect the closure and stay away from the area until the pole is repaired.

Anyone who has information on this crash is asked to call the South Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
