Police have charged two people with arson after an investigation into small fires in garbage cans in downtown Wingham.
During the past two months, Wingham police and the Fire Department of North Huron responded to several small fires.
Police say the fires could have easily spread to the buildings if gone unnoticed.
Cody Priestap, 22, of Wingham and a 15-year-old youth from Lucknow have both been charged with arson.
The youth cannot be identified in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
