A teenaged skateboarder from Goderich was struck by a car. Goderich Fire, Huron OPP and paramedics responded to the intersection of Victoria Street N. and Newgate Street due to a collision at about 7 last night. An off duty police officer who witnessed the crash provided first aid until emergency service providers arrived. Investigators say the skateboarder waited for traffic to clear before attempting to cross all 4 lanes but she was hit in the curb lane by a southbound vehicle on Victoria. Police say the 16-year-old girl from Goderich was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. She is now recovering at home.
