Alert Motorist Catches A Man Towing Stolen Farm Equipment In Huron County

An alert witness recognized a fertilizer spreader being towed along Babylon Line in Huron County.

The motorist called police last week to say he thought the $7,000. piece of equipment belonged to his friend and had been stolen.

The witness then caught up to the suspect, and got him to stop.

After a brief conversation, the suspect disconnected the spreader and took off.

However, officers arrested a 20 year old Lucan man a few days later and charged him.
