Clinton Pool Upgrades

The mayor of Central Huron hosted a ceremony Sunday to recognize a grant from the Trillium Foundation to help with renovations to the community swimming pool in Clinton.

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson was on hand and commented on the public spirit in the municipality that helped get the work done.

Mayor Jim Ginn pointed out the Trillium grant of about $40,000 got the project going. The work included renovations to the pool's washrooms and a ramp to make the pool accessible, roof replacement and equipment retrofits.

Ginn also commented that the pavilion is up and the splash pad is completed.

He said they're hoping to get the skatepark done this year but that might have to wait until next spring.
