Wingham Police Snuff Out Misinformation

The Wingham Police Service is trying to snuff out some misinformation.

In a posting on the service's Facebook page, Wingham police stress they are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

It was brought to the attention of Wingham police officials that there was information being spread on some websites that service was only being provided between Tuesday and Friday.

Those office hours are for administrative assistance such as records checks.

But for emergencies, Wingham police officials say there is always an on duty officer that can be dispatched.
