Report Of Suspicious Man In Milverton Unfounded

A report of a strange man offering a child a ride in Milverton turned out to be unfounded.

On Saturday, July 29, Perth County OPP were told a suspicious person had offered a child a ride. Investigators now say the incident didn't happen and there are no concerns for public safety.

Perth County OPP are asking that parents and caregivers talk to their children about "stranger safety" and what to do if confronted by a stranger.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
