Joint Force Operation Makes Drug Bust At Rockford

A Brockton man is one of two men arrested this week for drug trafficking and weapons offenses.

As part of a joint investigation, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Grey-Bruce Community Street Crime Unit, Grey-Bruce and Owen Sound City Drugs and Intelligence Unit, conducted a traffic stop Wednesday morning at Hwy. 6 and Grey Rd. 18 at Rockford.

Police seized a quantity of drugs including heroin, Fentanyl, cocaine, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. The approximate street value of the controlled substances is just over $12,000. They also confiscated $2,470 in Canadian currency.

39-year-old Richard Lloyd Micks of Brockton has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, heroin, and other drugs, possession of marijuana, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

38-year-old David May of the Alliston-area has been charged possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, heroin, and other drugs, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
