Huron Warden Wants Team Presentation At AMO Conferences

The warden of Huron County says it makes sense for all of the wardens of Southwestern Ontario to represent as a team to provincial ministers at the e Association of Municipalities Conference.

Jim Ginn says all of the counties of Southwestern Ontario share the same problems, but competing with more populated urban centres for the attention of provincial officials, they don't get much attention.

"I think it's important that we speak with one voice from Southwestern Ontario because we all face similar issues so when you have 15 representatives, I think they said it was 3.2-million people the Western Wardens represent, so when you speak with one voice at that level I think it has more impact,” says Ginn.

The AMO Conference in Ottawa wraps up on Wednesday.
