Kiwanis Donate Next Installment To Owen Sound Sk8 And Bike Park

The Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound continues to support their Sk8 and Bike Park.

The club presented the city with their fourth $20,000 installment on the weekend, as part of their $100,000 commitment to the build the park.

The park officially opened in June 2014, and this year the half bowl was expanded.

The park is a free and accessible opportunity for young people to have fun, and stay active.

The presentation was made during The Owen Sound Police fourth annual Sk8 Jam.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
