One Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash Near Grand Bend

OPP officers continue to investigate a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Monday morning near Grand Bend.

Just before 4:30 a.m., Huron County Paramedic Services, South Huron Fire Department personnel and the OPP responded to the collision on Grand Bend Line between Kirkton Rd. and B Line Rd.

Officers found a heavily damaged Mercedes MC4 off the road in a field. The lone occupant had to be extricated from the vehicle by South Huron Fire Department personnel.

The driver was initially transported to a local hospital and then was airlifted to hospital in London for further treatment.

Riley Pavey, 22, from Strathroy remains in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
