South Huron Trail Golf Tournament Raises $5K

This year's South Huron Trail Golf Tournament raised over $5000 for the bridge project on Monday.

This was the 12th year for the tournament and organizers says participation increased again this year to 17 foursomes.

The tournament was played at the Ironwoods Golf Course in Exeter and the proceeds will go towards the creation of a pedestrian bridge along the trail west of Morrison Line that would link the north and south sides of the South Huron Trail.

The golf tournament is organized by volunteers with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation.   The tournament has raised more than $55,000 for the trail over the last twelve years.
