Teen Charged After Crash In Owen Sound

A 17-year-old has been charged following a two-vehicle crash in Owen Sound that sent two people to hospital.

The Owen Sound Police service says on Thursday shortly before 1:20pm, a 2007 Ford Focus heading east on 3rd Ave. W was struck by a 1996 GMC pickup truck that was making a left turn off of 10th St. W.

The 65-year old-driver of the Ford Focus and a 72-year-old passenger were taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Ford Focus was towed from the scene and is believed to be a write off.
