Victims Of Fatal Bruce Peninsula Crash Identified

Northern Bruce Peninsula OPP have identified a Lambton Shores man and a Strathroy woman as the victims of a fatal crash over the weekend.

On August 26 at 7:53pm, police, firefighters and EMS responded to a head-on collision between two vehicles on Hwy. 6 between Lindsay Rd. 30 and Miller Lake Rd. in Northern Bruce Peninsula.

Police say a Dodge Charger travelling south on Hwy. 6 was driving erratically when it collided head-on with a northbound Jeep Liberty SUV.  The SUV burst into flames as a result, and the two occupants were killed.

The driver of the SUV has been identified as 22-year-old Traves Stephen Atchison of Bosanquet Township, Lambton Shores. The deceased passenger has been identified as 23-year-old Jana Watson of Strathroy.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
