Saugeen Shores Fireworks Postponed

Sunday night's Labour Day weekend fireworks in Saugeen Shores have been postponed.

The Port Elgin Harbourmaster says via their Twitter account that the fireworks show, part of the community's annual Labour Day event, will be postponed for Sunday and moved to the rain date, Monday night.

The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Labour Day weekend event, according to its official website. The event also features music at the bandshell and children's activities, which will proceed Sunday night as scheduled.

Rain had been in the forecast for Sunday night, but as of 4pm Sunday, Environment Canada's forecast for Saugeen Shores calls for windy conditions and a low temperature of 14.
