Wellington County OPP Continue To Investigate Off-Road Crash Near Guelph

Wellington County OPP continue to investigate a serious off-road collision from last weekend.

On Saturday, September 2 at 5:30pm, OPP responded to a serious two-vehicle collision off-road near Wellington Rd. 39 and Woodlawn Rd. near Guelph. A Nissan pickup truck and Subaru sedan collided head-on with each other on a blind corner in a vacant field.

Wellington County OPP, alongside the Guelph Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Services, took 9 injured people to hospital.

A 13-year-old boy from Guelph was airlifted to a trauma centre, and the severity of his injuries has decreased and he is in stable condition. All others are considered to have minor injuries. Police continue to investigate.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
