UPDATE: Two Die in Wellington Crash

Ontario Provincial Police say two people were killed in a collision in Wellington County.

OPP say two vehicles hit each other head-on around 3:30pm Saturday on County Rd 12 near County Rd 45 in Mapleton Twp.

Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene. OPP have identified the victims as 74-year-old Beverly Coveny of St. Marys. His passenger was transported by air ambulance to a London hospital where she remains in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the other vehicle has been identified as 38-year-old Trevor Vollett of Arthur.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash and has not spoken with police is asked to call the OPP in Wellington County at 1-888-310-1122.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
