Wellington OPP Respond To Serious Workplace Accident In Fergus

A man in Fergus has been seriously injured in a workplace accident.

At 1:15pm on Tuesday, Wellington County OPP responded to a serious workplace injury at Glengarry Cres. Initial reports indicated the 25-year-old man suffered serious trauma to his legs when the bus he was servicing fell on him.

Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Services attended the scene with the OPP, and treated the man's injuries on-site.  The man was then rushed to a local hospital, where he was airlifted to a trauma centre.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
