ATM In Town Of Erin Emptied By Trio

An automated teller machine at a bank in the town of Erin has been cleaned out by thieves.

Wellington County OPP report that the theft occurred very early Monday morning at the Royal Bank branch in Erin.

Their investigation determined that three suspects entered the bank's ATM area around 1:04am Monday and obstructed the security cameras.

Over the next 90 minutes, the suspects used tools to pry open the ATM and removed three cash trays. They left with the trays and the equipment they brought.

The cash trays were discarded near the bank, but there's no indication how much money was taken.

All three suspects wore motorcycle helmets and gloves to conceal their identity, but police believe they may not have been operating motorcycles.

Wellington OPP are also anyone who saw suspicious individuals in the area of the Royal Bank branch in Erin early Monday morning to contact them.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
