Wingham Hospital Receives Donation For Equipment Purchase

The Wingham and District Hospital has received more help toward the purchase of a new anesthetics machine for their operating room.

The Power Workers’ Union Bruce Site Equity Committee donated $5,000 toward the hospital's $90,000 goal for the upcoming CKNX Healthcare Heroes Radiothon in October.

Over 1,100 surgical procedures are done at the Wingham Hospital every year, and having new and updated equipment is crucial for patient care.

People interested in donating can do so at www.wdhfoundation.ca or by listening to AM920 on October 21 and calling 1-877-CARE4U-6 to make a pledge live on-air during the Radiothon.

More information is available at cknx.ca or wdhfoundation.ca.
