Emergency Crews Search For Missing Plane Near Goderich

Huron County OPP officers will continue their search Thursday for a missing plane.

At around 8:45pm Wednesday night, the Goderich Fire Department, Huron County Paramedic Services and OPP officers responded to the Goderich Sky Harbour Airport.

A witness reported seeing a small airplane that appeared to be in distress, flying near the airport.

Members from the West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit quickly started a ground search.

Emergency crews are using other aircraft and several boats in their search for the missing plane.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
