Attempted Robbery In Mount Forest

Police in Mount Forest are looking for a suspect after an attempted robbery on Fergus St. S. between Wellington St. E. and Durham St. E.

It happened around 6:20am Monday.

Police say the victim was walking northbound on Fergus St. S when the suspect came from behind and attempted to grab his backpack which he had slung over his shoulders. The victim was assaulted but managed to run away with their backpack and call police.

The suspect is described as a white male about 6' tall with a medium build, in his early-to-mid-2s. He has tanned skin and a five o'clock shadow. He was wearing a dark grey plain hoodie with the hood up and blue jeans.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
