Elmira, Waterloo and St. Marys All Earn Wins

Elmira 8 Brampton 5

Jeremy Goodwin struck twice and set up another in the Elmira Sugar Kings 8-5 win over Brampton.

Ethan Skinner also had a three point game for the Sugar Kings with a goal and two assists. Matt Mackay scored twice for Elmira.

Other goal scorers:  Harrison Toms, Ryan Takamatsu, and Jeff Jordan.

Rhett Kimmel earned the win with 26 saves. Travis Smith suffered the loss for the Bombers with 33 saves.

Waterloo 4 Guelph 3 (OT)

Tyler Dam scored the game winner at 3:38 of overtime to give the Waterloo Siskins a 4-3 win over Guelph.

Tyler Harrison had the equalizer for Guelph early in the third. Matthew Prucha had a chance to put the Siskins ahead with an unsuccessful penalty shot about two minutes later.

Justin McCombs had a goal and an assist for the Siskins. James Ranson set up two of the Siskins' goals. Kailem Chappelle made 32 saves in the victory.

St. Marys 2 Chatham 1

Dalton Smith scored the game winner with less than three minutes left in regulation and the St Marys Lincolns beat Chatham 2-1.

Brent West tied the game less than 40 seconds after Steven Fowler gave the Maroons the lead in the second period.

The Lincolns out shot Chatham 39-22.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
