UPDATE: Bruce Peninsula OPP Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Updated October 5 at 3:10pm:

A local pastor was the victim of a motorcycle crash in Northern Bruce Peninsula.

The crash happened on Hwy. 6 between Barrow Bay Rd. and Cemetary Rd. Tuesday night just before 8:00pm. Police say 38-year old Edward Honneyman of Wiarton, known to his friends and family as Chad, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Honneyman was a pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Walkerton before moving to Wiarton.

He was also active in local ministerial.

From October 4 at 12:00pm:

A motorcycle rider was killed in a crash Tuesday night in Northern Bruce Peninsula.

At 7:55pm, Bruce Peninsula OPP received a report of a serious motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Hwy. 6 between Barrow Bay Rd. and Cemetery Rd.

North Bruce Fire and EMS also responded to find a Silver Pontiac G6 and a Black motorcycle were involved in the crash.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene, and the person's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The Pontiac driver was assessed on-scene by EMS.

The investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
