The Cyclones Fall to the Dutchmen

Ben Morris had a hat trick in the Kitchener Dutchmen's 4-3 win over Listowel.

Morris also set up Sean Kawalec's goal at 5:15 of the first period.

The Cyclones managed to rally from down 2-0 after the opening period to up 3-1 by the midway point of the second. Morris evened the score at 14:20 of the middle frame with a short handed goal assisted by Adam Pys.

Morris scored the game winner assisted by Kawalec at 13:06 of the third.

The Dutchmen won despite being out shot 40-20. Riley Daniels earned the win with a 37 save performance. Max Wright stopped 16 shots for the Cyclones.

The Dutchmen were 2-4 on the power play.

The Cyclones still lead the Midwestern Conference with 18 points, 3 ahead of Guelph. The Dutchmen are in second to last place with 9 points.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
