Work is expected to get underway shortly on the upgrades to the Ag. Park in Goderich.
Mayor Kevin Morrison says tenders were opened this week, and those tenders will now go to committee to be awarded. He was pleased to see they were within budget for the park.
Morrison and the rest of council also credited the team behind the fund-raising effort for exceeding their goal of $500,000.
They were well on their way to reaching that goal when they won the $250,000 first prize in the Kraft Heinz Project Play contest.
