Residential Home sales in Grey Bruce Owen Sound dropped by about 26% in September from the record activity of a year ago. However, the 243 properties sold still represented the fourth best month of September on record. So far this year, 2,406 homes have sold, which is just nine sales behind the last year's record activity during the same time period. The average price increased over 12% from last year to just over $290,000. New listings are down 13% compared to September 2016, with the 860 active listings representing the lowest level ever for the month. Inventory is sold in an average of 3.5 months, a record for the time of year.
