North Huron Council Asked To Do More For Cyclists

North Huron Council received a report from members of the Huron County Cycling Advisory Committee on Monday.

The committee is trying to improve local cycling conditions and opportunities.

The report encouraged North Huron council to follow the lead of neighboring municipalities and create trails that will attract riders to the region. The cycling committee would also like wider paved shoulders along busy roads to allow more space for riders.

Committee members pointed out that cycling provides an economic boost to areas that have improved roadways and trails.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
