UPDATE: Suspects Identified in Walmart Stabbing

Police in Hanover say the suspects involved in a stabbing have been identified.

Hanover Police Chief Christopher Knoll says investigators have pinpointed the suspects at the centre of this investigation.

The incident occurred shortly after 4pm Friday at the Walmart store in Hanover. A loss prevention officer attempted to detain a male and female suspected of shoplifting. Suddenly, the male suspect stabbed the loss prevention officer with a knife and the couple fled the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle.

The loss prevention officer was treated and released from a local hospital.

Knoll encourages the suspects to enlist legal help and turn themselves into police.
