Fatal Collision On Bruce Rd. 10

A teenager from the Township of Chatsworth was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in South Bruce Peninsula.

Two young men were in a Volkswagen Jetta that left Bruce Rd. 10, just north of Hwy. 21, around 1:45am Saturday morning.

The vehicle entered the west ditch and hit a hydro pole.

The driver was pronounced dead in hospital. He's been identified as 17-year old Austin Trask of Chatsworth.

The passenger, a 17-year-old male from Owen Sound, was not injured, but was transported to hospital as a precaution.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is assisting Grey County OPP with the investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
