Suspects In Hanover Walmart Stabbing Identified

Police in Hanover have obtained arrest warrants for two Brockton residents following that stabbing at the Hanover Walmart on Friday afternoon.

Joseph Pollard, 29, and Samantha Hillyer, 28, are wanted on a number of charges. Police continue to encourage Pollard and Hillyer to contact lawyers and surrender at the Hanover Police Service.

The pair have been identified as suspects in the stabbing of a loss prevention officer at Walmart. The officer was trying to detain two individuals for suspected shoplifting when the incident occurred.

The officer was treated at the Hanover and District Hospital and later released.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Joseph Pollard or Samantha Hillyer is encouraged to contact the Hanover Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
