Driver Airlifted From Scene Of Collision Near Moorefield

One person has been airlifted to hospital following a serious crash south of Moorefield.

The Wellington County OPP says on Wednesday shortly before 9:30am, a cement truck was traveling north on Wellington Rd. 10. when it left the road, crashed through a guard rail and drove down an embankment.

The male driver and lone occupant of the cement truck was airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London with serious injuries.

County Rd. 10 between Concession 5 and Selinger Rd. is expected to remain closed most of the day for road repairs and removal of debris.

An investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
