UPDATE: Woman Dies In Crash Near Arthur

A 21-year-old woman has died in hospital after a head-on crash east of Arthur.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Thursday around 6:30pm, a Ford pickup and a Honda sedan collided head-on Wellington Rd. 109. Police say weather may have been a factor in crash.

A 21-year-old woman suffered life threatening injuries and was rushed to local hospital where she was pronounced dead. She has since been identified as Rebecca Cutting of Mount Forest.

A 57-year-old man also suffered minor injuries and was treated at scene. There were no other passengers involved.

Wellington Rd. 109 has been closed from Hwy. 6 to Wellington Rd. 16 while officers conduct an investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
