Meaford Man Faces Drug Charges

A Meaford man faces a list of charges after a drug bust at a home Thursday.

Multiple police units from the OPP and Owen Sound Police Service searched a home on St. Andrews Dr. Investigators seized cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and cannabis marijuana with an estimated value of $8480.00.

The suspect was eventually arrested in Hanover.

Richard Micks, 39, of the Municipality of Meaford faces charges.

The charges include:

Possession of heroin for the purposes of trafficking Possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking Possession of methamphetamine Possession of cannabis marijuana Breach of recognizance (Possession of drugs) Breach of recognizance (Possession of ammunition) Breach of recognizance (Possession of trafficking equipment)

The accused remains in custody pending a video remand scheduled for November 23.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
