OPP Warn Motorist To Prepare For Snow

Grey County OPP are reminding motorists to be prepared for the inclement weather by planning ahead.

OPP suggest drivers check weather forecasts and road conditions before travelling.

They also suggest a maintenance checkup and four winter tires for better tractions, braking and control.

You should bring a survival kit with you, and adjust driving to conditions.

Bridges and shaded areas freeze first, so watch for areas of the road that look black and shiny. That could by ice!

Drivers can expect to see snow plows and other winter maintenance equipment before, during and after a snowfall, so be sure to stay well back. Passing a snow plow is not recommended.

Ice and snow means go slow!
