Snow Squalls Likely This Weekend

Midwestern Ontario may be in for some snowy weather this weekend.

Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch for Bruce, Grey, Perth, Huron and Northern Wellington counties.  Snow squalls are expected to form in the areas near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay on Sunday into Sunday night, as northwesterly winds bring colder air into the region.

Over 15 cm of snow is possible within a 12 hour period.

The weather agency is urging drivers to use caution as travel may become hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.
