Snow Squalls Sweeping Across Midwestern Ontario

Travel plans could be put in jeopardy today because of Old Man Winter.

Snow squall watches are in effect throughout Midwestern Ontario, and will cause snow to accumulate very quickly throughout the day. Reduced visibility is expected for much of the region as anywhere from 5-10 cm may fall during the afternoon and early evening, with as much as 15+ cm along the lake shore. It's possible a strong lake-effect band will develop by tonight, stretching across the Bruce Peninsula toward Lake Simcoe.

The snow squall activity is expected to end by Monday morning.
