Three young adults have been arrested in connection with the theft of Christmas decorations.

Wingham Police Chief Tim Poole says officers responded to a call early Sunday morning concerning people stealing the decorations at Cruickshank Park.

Police arrived at the location and stopped a vehicle believed to be used in the theft.    Three occupants, aged 18 to 22, were arrested.   All of the accused are from the Guelph area.

The chief says all the decorations were recovered and will be turned over to the Horticultural Society, which is responsible for the Cruickshank Park holiday display.

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Wingham on December 14th.
