North Huron Council Approves New 'Assistant' Position

The Municipality of North Huron has approved a new full-time administrative position.

The assistant to the CAO will perform responsibilities currently being handled by several members of council.

It comes after the retirement of Kathy Adams, who was performing the roles of both the deputy cdlerk as well as the director of corporate services.  Some of the duties of these former roles will be transferred to the newly-created position.

North Huron CAO Dwayne Evans says additional responsibilities also fell onto his plate after Adams' departure, and the creation of this new position will allow him to focus on duties traditionally performed by the CAO.

Evans says rolling former responsibilities of the clerk and director of corporate services into this position will save North Huron approximately $60,000.
