Two Vehicle Crash Closes Granton Line

Two drivers suffered serious injures in a collision near Lucan Monday evening. The crash was on Granton Line, and involved a pickup truck and an SUV.

Police say the driver of a pickup travelling south on Granton Line lost control of the vehicle and partially rolled, coming to rest on its side on the road. The immobilized pick-up was then struck by an SUV traveling north on Granton Line.

A 52-year-old woman driving the pick-up truck was extricated from the vehicle and rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries.

A 61-year-old man behind the wheel of the SUV was also taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

Granton Line was closed for about four hours.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
