'The People Side of Emergencies'

All available county and municipal emergency management staff from Perth County will be heading to the Paramedic Services Headquarters in Stratford Thursday morning.

It's for a day-long training session, called "The People Side of Emergencies".

The focus of the session is on looking after people in the community and municipal emergency operations centres who are impacted by emergency incidents.

There will be presentations from members of the Red Cross, Mennonite Disaster Services, and Emergency Management Ontario.

Some of the guest speakers were involved in the tornado response in Goderich, and hurricane responses in Alabama, Mississippi Louisiana, West Virginia and New York state.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
