Trial Underway Against North Huron Man For Sexual Assault Involving Youth

The Crown started laying out their case against a former Wingham Scout leader and hospital worker charged with historical sexual assault involving youth. The court was told that 71-year-old Martin Cretier took advantage of his position of trust in the community. 29 charges were read out in court against Cretier including indecent assault, gross indecency, sexual assault, and sexual interference.

The investigation has identified ten victims both girls and boys.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
