Giving Tuesday A Chance To Make A Difference In Grey Bruce

The Community Foundation Grey Bruce remind residents that giving back to the community is a great way to mark the holiday season.

And Giving Tuesday is coming up next week to create awareness of how meaningful a gift to a charity or non-profit organization is to the entire community.

After Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping boosts the local economy, residents can take advantage of Giving Tuesday to give back to their community.

Community Foundation Grey Bruce and United Way Bruce Grey, hope the day brings a deeper level of engagement between charities, businesses and local residents.

Residents can celebrate in whatever way is most meaningful to them. Volunteering, giving blood, holding food drives, and spreading the word on social media are all ways to take part November 28, and throughout the holiday season.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
