Grey County Plans For The Future

Grey County councillors have had their first look at a new official plan, which is designed to provide an overall road map for land use and quality of life for the next 20 years.

The draft version was presented to councillors Thursday by planning director Randy Scherzer.

He says the new plan covers all aspects of life for the people in Grey County.

"Housing, transportation, roads that we travel on, the parks that we enjoy, all aspects of life that an official plan should address," says Scherzer.

The draft Official Plan has been two years in the making. It can be seen on the Grey County web site.

The next step is a public meeting in March, then it goes to county council, and after that, to the province for final approval.
