PJHL Wrap: Vollmer and Elder Score OT Winners

Ironmen 5 Bulldogs 4 (OT)

Rhys Vollmer scored the OT winner three minutes into the extra frame to give Wingham a 5-4 win over Kincardine.

Jesse Carnahan scored the equalizer for Kincardine with about four-and-a-half minutes left in regulation.

The Ironmen were led by Jamie Huber with a goal and three assists. Kyle Stanbury had a pair of goals in he win and Greg Hansford scored and set up two more for Wingham.

The Bulldgos were let by Miek Fiegehen with two goals and by Logan Frieburger with a goal and an assist. Brett Burrows set up two of the Bulldogs goals.

Hawks 4 Barons 3 (OT)

Spencer Elder scored in overtime on the power play to give Walkerton a 4-3 win over Hanover.

The Baron's Liam Bell scored with just 56 seconds left in regulation to force extra time.

Chase Krompocker stopped 42 shots for the Barons. Coder van der Heide made 29 saves for the Hawks.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
