Police Teamwork Results In Drug Seizures And Arrests

Four people have been arrested as part of a joint forces operation involving OPP Street Crime Units from Huron-Perth, Grey-Bruce, and the Stratford Police Service.

Two Stratford residents were arrested Tuesday in Perth East, and police seized quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Police also executed a search warrant at a property on Maple Keys Line in Huron East. Methamphetamine, marijuana, and solid and liquid cannabis resin were seized, and man and woman from Huron East were arrested.

The combined estimated street value of the two drug seizures was estimated at $52,000.

All four individuals face a number of drug trafficking and possession charges.

Those arrested and charged are 43-year-old David Sullivan of Stratford; 43-year-old Christina Bailey of Stratford; 31-year-old Joseph Lindsay of Huron East; and 28-year-old Tasia Weickert of Huron East.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
