Cottage Fire Estimated at $200,000

Damage from a fire in Inverhuron is estimated at $200,000.

Kincardine Fire Chief Kent Padfield says the incident was called in shortly before 8pm Thursday at a cottage on Victoria St.

When firefighters arrived a fire was already in progress. The flames were soon brought under control.

Firefighters from the Kincardine and Tiverton stations helped with the blaze, as did the Ontario Provincial Police, Bruce County Paramedics and Hydro One.

No one was home at the time and there were no injuries.

The fire remains under investigation.
