Over $250K Of Drugs And Cash Sezied In Guelph

Police have seized over a quarter-of-a-million-dollars worth of drugs and cash from a motel room in Guelph.

It started as a report of a stolen vehicle on December 31 from the Jesuit Centre on Hwy. 6 in the Township of Guelph Eramosa.

An OPP investigation led to the Delta Hotel on Stone Rd. E in Guelph. When officers entered a motel room, they identified a man known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant. A young female was also in the room, and a third person was arrested a short time later.

A search of the room resulted in the seized of a large amount of cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Jeffery Adam Smith, 30, of Wellington North has been charged with numerous drug possession and trafficking offences, along with possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, and resisting a peace officer.

Ingrid Danielle Ohls, 34, of Cambridge and a 17-year-old female of no fixed address have been charged with numerous drug trafficking offences.

Wellington County OPP estimate the value of the seized drugs and cash is over $250,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
